On Sunday, November 16, the Church throughout the world will be celebrating the World Day of the Poor. On that same day, we will welcome into our church the relic of St. Albert Chmielowski. Just as St. Mother Cabrini dedicated her life to serving Italian immigrants, St. Albert devoted his life to the poorest in Poland. May their presence among us inspire deeper compassion and greater sensitivity to the needs of the poor in our own community.
